Lace Mantilla Veil
Traditional Walsingham ™ is a Marian service based in a workshop in Walsingham. One of the most venerated relics in Christendom is Our Lady’s Veil (Sancta Carnisia) which tradition tells us was worn by Mary at the Annunciation, at the Birth of Our Blessed Lord and at the foot of the Cross. The Slipper Chapel in Walsingham has a relic of the Veil of Our Lady to venerate.
Mary as Mother of the Church was the first woman to veil and to lead us deeper into these mysteries held by the tradition of the church. She teaches us through example what it means to veil with her in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, in the True Presence of Our Lord and in the Presence of the Angels.
Unique to our pilgrim collection is The Walsingham FIAT Veil ™ which can be ordered in black or white. This Mantilla is made in a workshop in Walsingham with fabric lace and trimming from England and inspired by the mystery of the Annunciation.
